About this event…
The EVS & BEYOND event ran from 29th November – 6th December 2018. It brought together professionals and young people from 15 countries to explore the future of EVS and develop new partnerships across the network. The aims were…
AIM 1: Sharing previous EVS experiences
Former EVS volunteers are asked to share both their own stories and experiences. In this way, they make young people from different countries and cultures feel closer to each other and most importantly remove the fears, doubts and worries that affect most young people.
Aim 2: Inspire new volunteers
Achieving the first aim is a way to encourage other young people to join EVS projects. Attendees will find out that EVS is something that can change your life. For example, a girl from Greece found a job in Turkey after her one year long EVS project in Ankara.
Aim 3: European Solidarity Corps / The future of ESC
EVS is evolving into a new programme called the European Solidarity Corps. The good news is there will be more funding, but there will also be some significant changes. The first solidarity projects are launching in January 2019 and are open to all programme countries.
